TESTIMONIES 2009

We want to thank God for His grace for enabling us to enter into year 2009, which is the 10th year of “Walk Thru the Bible Ministry” in Sri Lanka. We were invited by the “Fellowship Of Christian University Students” (FOCUS) to introduce “Walk Thru the Bible” and also to encourage the Christian undergraduates to read the Bible in its fullness. “Walk Thru the Old Testament” and “Walk Thru the New Testament” programs in summery form were conducted on 10th of January, 2009, at FOCUS office, Dehiwala and some of the Testimonies we received are listed below for His glory.

(1). “I always had a liking to know the whole story of the Bible because it was confusing when we read Bible books here and there. What happened today was the exact thing I wanted. Now I have the passion to read Bible fully.”
Abigail Thirukumaran – University of Moratuwa

(2). “This study made me realize God is sovereign and totally in control. It was something I had a difficult time believing especially in the recent times.”
Imashi Dineka – University of Colombo – Arts Faculty

(3). “It helped me to get a quick overview of the Bible. It helps me to remember the contents of the Bible.”
Soloman Romesh – University of Colombo – Computer Science

(4). “I got the opportunity to gain a better understanding of how the incidents of the Bible line up and this was an eye opener for me.”
Wajishani Gamage – University of Moratuwa – Architecture Faculty

(5). “This is nice experience to study the Bible in action. It helps us to remember the stories. It is better to connect some world history with Bible stories those are not in Bible but rather than other sources.”
M. Mauran – University of Moratuwa – Civil Engineering

(6). “An interesting and innovative method of learning the history. A subject that could be boring was made interesting because of the 77 steps.”
Dhiluckshini Canagasabey – University of Colombo – Arts Faculty

(7). “It is amazing to see God’s plan in perspective. I was touched and blessed by “Walk Thru the Bible” as it gave me many insights into God’s story especially how He used people, places, times & events for His glory and honor.”
Esther Surenthiraraj – University of Colombo – Arts Faculty

(8). “Well, I was not able to remember in order all the events that were mentioned in the Bible. But after today’s interactive workshop/seminar I found it very easy to put all the pieces together. Thank you.”
Shayan Peiris – University of Colombo – Science Faculty

(9). “It was really interesting to hear about how God used Greece & Rome to prepare the way for the Gospel. (Philosophical language & Roads)”
Anushke Guneratne – University of Moratuwa – Information Technology

(10). “Well, the New Testament is something I have read and know better than the Old Testament. So it was a deficiency for me to know so little about the Old Testament. But today I got a deep understanding about the Old Testament and overall knowledge about how God has been working throughout time. Eg. Through Roman Empire – the making of roads etc.”
Nishantha – University of Colombo – Faculty of Management and Finance
